Our Beacon Carers' Group meets  at The Whitaker and also virtually via Zoom .

The group is specifically run for those Carers who care for someone living with dementia.

Carers can have a tough time and the Carers' Group aims to provide social time with other carers who may be experiencing similar challenges, or who can offer advice or tips.

Each meeting has a theme and provides information, which we hope will be useful, together with time for socialising.

The Carers' Group is run by our Trustee Rachel Yates Hoyles, who has many years of experience working with and improving the lives of people living with dementia and their carers.

The Carers' Group is free to attend and dates of the meetings are lower down this page.

Carers who attend our Group have produced a  Carers' Resource to help others who may be trying to gain support or information about caring for a person living with dementia and also a Dementia Carers' Information leaflet giving sources of information and support in East Lancashire.
