What data we collect

We may collect data such as your name, address, telephone number, email, photographs.



How we collect data

Most of the data we collect is provided by you. We may take photographs of you, but only if you have given your consent to us. If you have given consent we may share photographs on social media, our website, or with our funders. You are able to remove your consent at any time by contacting us.

Apart from photographs, we do not share your personal data with anyone outside the Charity.



Lawful reasons for collecting data

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

We have a legitimate interest.



Storage and Disposal

Your information is securely stored and only accessed by people who need to see it.

We may keep your name and contact details whilst you are using our services or volunteering with us. We may keep this for up to 12 months after you end your relationship with Beacon Dementia and Wellbeing, and then dispose of it securely.

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think
is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to object to processing - You have the right to object to the processing of your
personal information in certain circumstances.

you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.



You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
