Our wellbeing group at the moment is limited to 'Knits at Fitz' as we have been very busy this year creating yarn bombing displays for the Coronation of King Charles and also we are involved in yarn bombing displays for Civic Pride Rossendale’s National entry into the RHS Britain in Bloom. Later in the year we will be creating displays for the 35th Anniversary of the Rossendale Hospice, plus poppies for our annual Remembrance Day display.
A busy year for us, we hope to bring the Big Crochet back once we have found a suitable venue.
Knits at Fitz is run by our Trustee Janet and aims to provide a weekly social craft gathering for anyone interested. It is held 1.30 - 3.30 every Wednesday at Mr Fitzpatrick's Temperance Bar in Rawtenstall.
The group welcomes all crafters of any ability. Usually we either knit or crochet, with helpful and friendly advice if needed.
A donation of £1 is welcome to cover costs of providing wool to our outreach members who make traffic light hats for babies at the Royal Oldham Hospital maternity department.
